Cheviot Hills, Los Angeles


Cheviot Hills, founded in 1924, is a highly affluent residential neighborhood in the Westside region of Los Angeles which includes both Rancho Park and Golf Course, and Hillcrest Country Club. Century City is to the north, Rancho Park is to the west, Beverlywood and Castle Heights are to the east, and Palms is to the south. The neighborhood consists primarily of large custom single family detached homes. The population is about 7,500. Notable residents have included Lucie Arnaz, Lucille Ball, Buster Keaton, Stan Laurel, Agnes Moorehead, Jack Paar, Johnny Weissmuller, and Peter Wilson.


Monte Mar Vista

Monte Mar Vista, developed between 1926 and 1940, is the most affluent section of Cheviot Hills. It is bordered by the Hillcrest Country Club, Rancho Park Golf Course, and Cheviot Hills Park. Many of the homes have magnificent views which include the Hollywood Hills and Century City.


California Country Club Estates

California Country Club Estates, also known as the New Cheviot, was developed in 1952 on the site of the former California Country Club. The community is governed by the California Country Club Homes Association.


California Country Club Homes Association

The California Country Club Homes Association (CCCHA) was formed in 1952 to govern the California Country Estates which consists of 410 luxury single family detached homes in the Cheviot Hills community of Los Angeles. CCCHA is governed by an elected board of directors consisting of 17 homeowners. The CCCHA mission statement is “to sustain a safe, friendly, appealing and environmentally responsible neighborhood that enhances long term property values and enforces our property restrictions.”
