Los Feliz is an affluent community in
Los Angeles located in the foothills of the
Santa Monica Mountains with a population exceeding 45,000.
Griffith Park is to the north,
Hollywood is to the west and southwest,
and East Hollywood are to the south, and the
Los Angeles River is to the east and southeast. The
Hollywood Hills are to the northwest and west.

Franklin Hills is an affluent neighborhood adjacent to Los Feliz, Silver Lake, and East Hollywood. It is home to the famous Shakespeare Bridge that was built in 1926.
Hollywood Grove is a small, upscale neighborhood in the Los Feliz community of Los Angeles located in the foothills of the Hollywood Hills. The neighborhood contains only 139 homes and is registered as a Historical Preservation Overlay Area due to the large concentration of historic Craftsman and American Colonial Revival homes.
The Oaks is a beautiful, upscale neighborhood in the Los Feliz community of Los Angeles just below the Hollywood Hills. It is bordered by Griffith Park on the north, Foothill Drive on the south, Canyon Drive on the west, and Fern Dell Drive on the east. The neighborhood’s name comes from the various types of Oak trees that are found within the area.
Los Feliz Municipal Golf Course
The Los Feliz Municipal Golf Course is a 9 hole public golf course located on Los Feliz Boulevard just east of the Golden State 5 Freeway and to the southeast of Griffith Park. The course was designed by William Johnson and opened in 1947. Amenities include a putting green and coffee shop. The course is very popular with local golfers.
The Ennis House is a famous Frank Lloyd Wright designed house built in 1924. It is located in the Los Angeles Community of Los Feliz just south of Griffith Park. The house is an example of Mayan Revival Architecture which is based upon ancient Mayan temples. The house has been listed on the Department of the Interior, National Register of Historic Places, and with the National Trust for Historic Preservation. It has also been designated a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument and a California Historical Landmark. The house is quite unique and is privately owned.
Los Feliz Public Library
The Los Feliz Public Library is part of the Los Angeles Public Library System. It includes a children's area, teen area, study rooms, and lots of computers. It is a great place to visit.
William Mulholland Memorial Fountain
The William Mulholland Memorial Fountain is located at the site of a four acre park at Los Feliz Boulevard and Riverside Drive in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles. The beautiful fountain and park was developed by the City of Los Angeles in honor of William Mulholland who accepted responsibility for overseeing the construction of the Los Angeles - Owens River Aqueduct that brought water to the Los Angeles Basin in 1941. The fountain is ninety feet in diameter and the water reaches fifty feet into the air. At night, colored lights make the fountain absolutely beautiful and clearly worth visiting.
Rancho Los Feliz
Rancho Los Feliz was the 6,647-acre Spanish land grant given in 1795 in present day Los Angeles County that included Griffith Park, the Los Feliz section of Los Angeles, and parts of Hollywood. Historic sites in Rancho Los Feliz include Maugna which is a former Tongva Indian settlement, and the Los Feliz Adobe built in 1830 in Griffith Park.
