Oak Park Open Space commonly refers to the open space wilderness preserve located adjacent to and north of the Agoura Hills Open Space, making it one large permanently protected area consisting of rolling hills. The space is further subdivided into the Rock Ridge Open Space, the Sunrise Meadows Open Space and the Wistful Vista Open Space. The Oak Park Open Space is located adjacent to Medea Park and Medea Creek, within the community of Oak Park which is an unincorporated area in the Conejo Valley and Ventura County. The joint area serves as a habitat for rabbits, and other wildlife, including coyotes from time to time. In addition, the area provides nesting areas for various types of birds native to the Conejo Valley.

The Oak Park Open Space together with the Simi Hills to the north are part of an important wildlife corridor that links the Santa Monica Mountains to the Santa Susana Mountains and the San Gabriel Mountains.
